Welcome to STUFF’s English webpage!

Since the birth of STUFF on the 18th of October 2004, the Study Association of the Faculty of Philosophy (STUFF in short) tries to connect and unite students at our faculty. This is accomplished by organizing a great amount of activities, varying from study-related events like career days and film lectures to social events like the monthly drinks (‘de borrel’ in Dutch) and several excursions. If you want more information on the activities and events that we organize or if you want to know which activities are especially suited for international students, go to the Events-page.

STUFF is an association for and by students. Our faculty is small and cosy, and we try to translate this atmosphere into the atmosphere that characterizes STUFF as well. Because we would love you to join our community and because we want to make sure you feel welcome here in Groningen we have this English website, an English summary at the bottom of our monthly informational mail for members and activities like pub talks and lectures are given in English. A membership at STUFF has various benefits and offers the ideal opportunity to get in contact with your fellow students. You can become a member via this website under ‘Join STUFF’ or by contacting the secretary. Philosophy students of a specific discipline are very welcome as well, since STUFF is for everyone!

Stuffgroningen.nl/en is meant to make sure you have all the basic information you need about STUFF and what we can offer you, but if you still have any questions, don’t hesitate and mail them to secretaris@stuffgroningen.nl. We are eager to help and give you all the information you need! We ty do organise as much as possible in English, but some activities are in Dutch only. Don’t forget to join or Facebook page if you’re a member!
