The Qualia is the magazine of the Faculty of Philosophy. It is published three times a year and all STUFF-members receive a copy. The name Qualia is derived from the concept of ‘qualia’ in the philosophy of mind. There it is used as the term for the qualitative character of subjective experience, like ‘redness’ or the fact that you hear noise, instead of seeing it.
All the editors of the Qualia are philosophy students, and every edition of the magazine covers many different topics from different points of view. For example, it contains philosophical reflections on current affairs, interviews and poems, but also crossword puzzles, drawings and reviews of activities organized by STUFF.
Writing for the Qualia is an excellent way to gain some experience in writing and journalism. If you would like to contribute to the Qualia, either as a full-time editor or by just writing one article, feel free to send an e-mail to email@example.com.
If you want to receive the Qualia, but you’re not a member of STUFF, don’t fear. It is possible to become a STUFF ‘donor’ for 15 euros a year. If you are interested in this, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
